This is the comprehensive catalog of the magnetic linear scale "Magline Series," which can easily achieve precision comparable to that of general-purpose optical encoders.

The Magline series magnetizes the N and S poles of the magnets on the magnetic tape at a predetermined pitch. The changes in the magnetic field generated by this are precisely measured by a magnetic resistance element built into the detection head and converted into an analog voltage signal that varies in a sine and cosine manner. By applying the vector following principle (interpolator) in the LSI's converter, digital signals of arbitrary resolution can be obtained.
